FAQs
Straight answers
What does AUD8/hr actually include?
The assistant’s time, their salary and statutory entitlements, your customer success manager, quality supervision, and free replacement if the fit is wrong. It is $1,200 a month for 160 hours on the Beginner plan. The only extra is a one-off equipment fee for the laptop and headset you choose. No recruitment fee, no lock-in, no exit fee.
Is the assistant shared with other clients?
No. You get one dedicated person working only for you, for the full 160 hours. Shared-pool models are cheaper to run and are why some providers quote lower — but you lose the context and consistency that makes an assistant genuinely useful after month two.
What hours do they work?
Yours. Australian business hours in your timezone as standard, AEST or AEDT. If you need earlier starts for a Perth office or later coverage for customer enquiries, tell us in the brief and we recruit for it rather than asking someone to make it work.
How does the two-week trial work?
Your assistant does real work on your real tasks for two weeks before any invoice is raised. At the end you either continue, ask for a replacement, or stop with nothing owed. It exists because no amount of interviewing tells you as much as a fortnight of actual output.
Who employs them, and are there tax implications for us?
Kredence employs your assistant. We hold the employment relationship, payroll, statutory entitlements and HR obligations; you direct the work day to day. You receive one invoice and have no payroll tax, superannuation or workers compensation exposure for that person. This structure matters — Australian businesses that engage offshore workers directly as “contractors” have been found by the Fair Work Commission to be their employer in substance.
How do you handle our data and passwords?
Every assistant signs a confidentiality agreement before starting. Access runs through your systems using a password manager rather than shared credentials in email, with permissions set to what the role needs and nothing more. We can configure remote monitoring and controlled desktop access where your policy requires it.
What if we need to pause or change hours?
Tell your customer success manager. There is no lock-in contract, so you can scale hours, change the scope of work, or pause the engagement. If your needs have shifted enough that you need different skills, we will look at a replacement rather than stretching someone into a role they were not hired for.
How long before they're actually useful?
On defined admin — inbox triage, data entry, invoicing, scheduling — inside the first fortnight. On judgement work like drafting client correspondence in your voice, four to eight weeks. The businesses that get there fastest are the ones with written processes; if you don’t have them, your assistant can build them as they learn.
